Royals activate Elarton from DL

05/13/2007 - Chicago, IL (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Kansas City Royals activated pitcher Scott Elarton from the 15-day disabled list in time to pitch Saturday against the Chicago White Sox, his first start since July 16.

Kansas City's opening day starter in 2006, Elarton had shoulder surgery on August 1. He has spent a month making minor league rehab starts this season.

Last season, Elarton was 4-9 with a 5.34 ERA.

The club also optioned lefty Neal Musser to Triple-A Omaha. Musser registered a 10.80 ERA in six appearances this year.
